A $70,000 Renovation

Made Possible by Gulfport Community Support

Through fundraising, sponsor contributions, and other community support, the Foundation provided $70,000 toward recently completed Senior Center improvements. The result is a more welcoming, flexible setting for everyday activities and new learning opportunities.

  • Refreshed flooring in the lobby, conference/multipurpose areas and dining hall, complemented by upgraded lighting and ceiling fans.
  • Newly enhanced multipurpose rooms featuring large, approximately 100-inch smart TV displays and upgraded presentation technology.
  • Modern spaces for healthcare talks, wellness workshops, financial literacy, technology education and community presentations.
  • New opportunities for sponsors and professional partners to engage Senior Center members and older adults from surrounding communities through educational programming.

More Than a Building!

The Senior Center connects older adults with wellness and fitness activities, food security support, reassurance calls, medical equipment lending, arts and social programs, and guidance to community resources. The Foundation helps expand this work beyond what public funding alone can provide.

Education, Access, and Connection

Looking Ahead.

The Foundation is exploring additional theater-to-Senior Center livestreaming, recorded educational programs and eventual remote access for homebound seniors. These are future possibilities, not yet completed renovations.

See the Transformation. Explore a Partnership.

We invite sponsors to tour the upgraded rooms and discuss seminars, presentations, future events and other sponsorship opportunities. Prefer a Zoom conversation or coffee? We would welcome that, too.

Thank you for helping turn community generosity into lasting improvements for Gulfport seniors.
